Boys and Booze
What did I get up to for the rest of the weekend, you ask? After I behaved myself on Friday night and stayed in, I figured I needed to reward myself with a young turn-up on Saturday evening...bad idea! After a long day of house admin and a cancelled waffle date with my girls, I dropped off my clothes at the laundromat and decided to head to my favourite spot and have ONE Caribbean Twist cocktail by myself :-)
Lo and behold, as I was ordering my drink at the bar, an old friend who's also a regular at "the spot" sneaks up behind me and with one touch sends incredible chills down my spine. Now, maybe I should mention that I'm very single and not really looking to commit myself to anyone at the moment but I'm open to taking applicationsš. So back to "Mr Chills". We greet each other and decide to share a table while we have drinks and a mouth-watering meat platter. I'll be honest, I wasn't really feeling the guy (he's had a crush on me for years...blah blah blah) and frankly, I would've preferred to sit alone and enjoy my own company.
After a bit of small talk and some shots we agree that a joint of weed would be a great idea. Normally when I smoke weed I get super paranoid and freak out like crazy but this particular afternoon with "Mr Chills", I got more relaxed than I've been in a very long time. The DJ was playing an outstanding selection of jazzy love songs and we danced the evening away like we were competing for the top spot on "Dancing with the Stars". I was a little shook and pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed myself that much with him against the odds (maybe I should mention that he's 5 years younger than me). So my reluctance is justified! But on this particular night, boy held me like a man and whispered sweet nothings in my ear, and I liked it. He even got some high fives from some guys and girls at a nearby table for "scoring a girl like me" (also I should add, I was dressed to impress) lol and some shit about us being "couple goals"...hehehe
Anyway, homeboy started to dislike the attention we were getting and suggested we go "somewhere quieter" (rolling my eyes). Now as much as I was enjoying the chills and neck kisses he was giving me, I was still sober enough to know I didn't like him like that. So I objected and because I'm so nice (hand on face), I had to find a good enough excuse to ditch him. I told him I promised another friend I'd go see a show with them and it was almost time. So he drove me to the show venue (all the while giving me chills all over my body with his free, non-driving hand). FYI - if you don't know, weed makes everything better and your experiences are more heightened. I think that's why it's called getting high.
The rest of the night was spent enjoying incredible laughs at the show with great people. (The show was a real thing, but I only went there to get away from little dude). But it gets more complicated because the friend who invited me to the show is a guy who happens to like me as wellšš and we flirt and kiss occasionally. I actually like kissing him, but like I said earlier, not trying to get into a relationship just yet. So "Mr Kisses" and I headed out for another drink after the show, and lots of kisses were had...lol. The end of my Saturday night...
Sunday, on the other hand, was a girls night out. Our favourite spot was hosting a braai session and we had meat for days! And of course, those delicious and deadly Carribean Twist cocktails. It was a beautiful, starry evening; great conversation, awesome vibe, lit music and a yummy stranger who stuck his tongue down my throat after just greeting me! And boy did I like it! I'm fearless after some liquid courage and so I gave the guy more than he bargained for...on the table with his friends cheering the roof off the place. Get your mind out the gutter, it was all above the belt and tastefully done...lol I think I can still taste him on my lips. Still considering if I should text him (he put his number in my phone before he left)...we'll see if I crave "Yummy Stranger's" kisses in the near future.
The journey to find my prince continues...and while he tarries, I find solace in charming boys and booze.
